Most things are most enjoyed when done in company. Working in collaboration with local artisans, our beehives, tools, and protective clothing are designed and built to fit the community’s needs. After fabrication, beehive pieces are brought to the community for assembly and then painted by community youth.
Akuli and the Bees depicts the story of a young girl who through her endless curiosity with the nature around her leads her village out of a fruitless harvest. Her unexpected friendship with a jungle mystic introduces her to the amazing world of the honey bee and when unexpected guests begin to put the village garden in danger, her ingenuity comes to the rescue.
